ROARING SPRING — The Roaring Spring Community Library has announced its activities for October.

Free computer class: 5:30 p.m. Oct. 15 — Tom Robison will answer general questions about the ownership and use of personal computers and explain how to make your computer use more enjoyable and understandable. Take your laptop. No signup is needed; email corporal99@msn.com with questions to have them addressed during class.

Knitting and Crochet: 6 p.m. Wednesdays — Whether you have been knitting for decades or just days join this welcoming group.

Immune System Support: 6 p.m. Oct. 10 — Victoria from Little Rock Natural Remedies will teach how to support your immune system the natural way.

Toddler Time Story Hour: 10:30 a.m. every Monday — Join Miss Cortney every Monday for stories, games, dancing and fun.

Troop 43009 Girl Scouts: 6 p.m. Mondays — Western PA Hosts Daisies, Brownies, Juniors and Cadets will meet on the lower level of the library.

Rockin at the Library: 5:30 p.m. every Thursday. Drop-in for rock painting. This is not a structured class but a drop-in do-it-yourself program. There will be a guest rock painter from time to time. The library will supply the paint, brushes and rocks.

Boscov’s Friends Helping Friends: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 16 — Join the library at Boscov’s, Altoona, for the Friends Helping Friends event. A donation of $5 includes a coupon for 25 percent off of your entire purchase, refreshments and a chance to win prizes including four $500 Shopping Sprees. Call, message or stop by the library for more details.

OIP Dine & Donate: 5 to 9 p.m. Oct. 28 — Stop by OIP, 601 E. Main St., to enjoy a delicious meal and support the Roaring Spring Community Library. A portion of the sales from the evening will be donated to the library.

Halloween Hide & Seek: 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 29 — Join Miss Cortney and Miss Pauline for Halloween Hide & Seek at the library. There will be prizes, giveaways and refreshments. All ages are welcome and there is no sign-up required.

Join the library on Oct. 31 at Bare Memorial Church, 500 E. Main St., on Trick-or-Treat Night for special giveaways and festive fun.

Save the date: 5 to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 14 — Join the library at Trinity United Methodist Church for a spaghetti dinner featuring Uncle Jerry’s famous sauce.
